A Knitting Kit for Healing

Have you seen our Charlottesville Kit yet? Wondering how it all came together? Interweave published an article about us and our kit for healing. Check it out here.

We believe that the act of knitting can help to heal wounds and soothe souls. After witnessing the retrogressive events of the summer of 2017, we are committed to act and make a difference.

We have partnered with North Light Fibers and Heather Zoppetti to create this knitting kit that symbolizes moving forward with love and hope. We have no time to hate; we’re too busy knitting. Kits can be purchased for $70, and a $15 donation to the Southern Poverty Law Center will be made for every kit purchased.

The Charlottesville Kit includes:
  • Heather Zoppetti’s “Safe Harbor Pattern,” a beautiful infinity scarf
  • Two skeins of North Light Fibers Atlantic Yarn, handcrafted on Block Island, Rhode Island. The official kit colorway is Teal Inlet, but you can choose from a variety of beautiful colors.
Heather’s pattern was first published in Unexpected Cables, an Interweave knitting book. In addition to this kit, Magpie Knits will also be leading an online knit-along (KAL) of the pattern starting September 15, 2017. You don’t even have to be in Charlottesville to join in! Just call the shop (434-296-4625) to purchase it and we will ship it to you
