We are so pleased to announce that our Knitting Instructor is Cecelia Campochiaro. Cecelia is an amazingly talented woman who lives in the Silicon Valley, where for many years she developed specialized microscopes used in computer chip manufacturing. Textiles, photography and the arts have been a lifelong passion running in parallel with her technical life. Susan and Blair met Cecelia a number of years ago at a Churchmouse Retreat and became fan girls immediately. In addition to being such a clever and talented person, she is super fun to be with! Cecelia is a master at combining fibers to create her own fabrics and equally genius with stitch patterns. You will love her as much as we do!
Cecelia has a new book coming out at the end of the year and we will have it on hand in the shop!
Retreat Schedule -
Sunday afternoon - arrive in Cville
Sunday Night - Dinner at the Omni with Icebreaker fun
Monday Class -Making Marls/Building Fabrics with Cecelia - 9am-1pm (free afternoon for knitting or exploring)
Monday Night- Shopping party at Magpie Knits and Wine & Heavy Apps at Crush Pad
Tuesday Class -Reversible Stitch Patterns with Cecelia -9am-1pm
Continental Breakfasts + lunches and dinners included in retreat fee.
